@ChorltonBrook You're an idiot! It's obvious the cause was slush & airport runways have been changed to reflect this risk.
1) The 5mm of ice found by German AA was insufficient to stop this type of aircraft taking off.
2) The wings were warmer than other planes thanks to de-icing being on prior.
