Julia Rae is an eighteen year old accomplished performer (singer, dancer and actress). She performed on the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Stage, at the Kimmel Center of the Arts in Philadelphia and with the Ocean City Pops. She has sung the National Anthem at Philadelphia Phillies games and was a featured singer in the 2008 and 2009 6ABC IKEA Thanksgiving Day Parades in Philadelphia.
Julia has performed in musical theater throughout the tri-state region. Some of her favorite roles include Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden, Eponine in Les Miserables, Louisa in The Sound of Music and Mayzie in Seussical.
In the summer of 2008, Julia was named Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen and was 1st Runner-Up to Miss America's Outstanding Teen. Through the Miss America Organization, Julia was awarded over $20,000 in scholarship.
Julia was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic lung disease, at birth. She often wondered why God would give her a lung disease and a passion to sing and perform. Julia realized she was meant to use her voice to bring awareness to CF and help fund research for a cure so she founded Singing at the Top of My Lungs (SATML).
