Aranha Weekend - Saturday Roda Estagiario Chegada Aranha agreed to come up to Atlanta with some students from Tallahassee for a weekend, teach a few capoeira classes, play in a few rodas, share some axé, and have a good time. Estagiario Chegada Aranha started training capoeira in California in 1992. He has traveled all over the United States and been to Brazil to train capoeira. In 2000, Aranha brought capoeira to Tallahassee, eventually joining Grupo Maculelê Capoeira headed by Mestre Fran.

About this user

Without any concept of what capoeira was, I agreed to a fellow classmates invitation try out my first capoeira class at Emory University. In September 2003, I walked into the class wearing cargo pants and a plain white t-shirts. Mestre Fran was teaching and didn't speak a lick of English back then. I was immediately hooked and haven't been able to stop doing capoeira since.
