The videos posted here chronicle the chess adventures of female blind competitor, Jessica "Chessica" Lauser, 3-time U.S. Blind Women's Champion, and World Blind Olympiad qualifier.
F.Y.I., the term "blind" here includes any player either totally blind, or partially sighted, like myself, who is unable to drive due to this impairment.
Nevertheless, I most often compete, head-to-head with exclusively fully-sighted opponents, and have earned a rank among the Top 100 Women, overall, in the nation for Blitz, as well as a standing among the Top 10 active players in the State of Alaska.
Hopefully, my videos will serve to inspire others to pursue their dreams, whatever these may be, regardless of limitations, since, surely, the ability to adapt in the face of adversity is just as important as any other.
