hmmm... he did a general overhaul of the rifle there.... field cleaning usually consists of a shoelace tied in knots and some used motor oil :P or you dont clean it at all... residue is a great lubricant... acts kinda like graffite grease :D

@Brian3731 if you drop an old revolver like that on the ground IT WILL DISCHARGE if the round is chambered. Or if you slip and fall you end up shooting your leg off :) primary reason is safety since the firing pin is resting on the primer of the loaded cartrige :)
