Lani Hall is married to Herb Alpert and they still tour together. Here voice is still magical.

The real bummer about this is that this is by far superior to the Blue Swede version but has been largely forgotten because the novelty BS's "ooga chucka" intro has become an enduring joke. Even so, it does not diminish how fine a pop song and performance this is.

There are like a million punk bands that claim to be the original punk band or the only true punk band. And here is the real thing, punk without even trying to be punk, Isn't that the ultimate punk? And, almost as a contradiction, better than the would-bes.
