It's amazing to me that the background "bar din" continues throughout Ryan's performance... how anyone can escape being utterly captivated by it is entirely beyond me. I am mesmerized. He has such a lovely, raw quality to his voice and he plays with such emotion... truly a born artist. I dearl...

I've gotten to bum around with Alvaro a couple of times myself, and I can't agree more with your assessment of him. He's definitely a gift to those birders with whom he's come into contact! (Particularly "Lariphiles" lol)

I say "typically" since we trapped several Northern Saw-whet Owls this season that had 13 (as opposed to 12)... and one even had 14!! I must have counted them 5 times before finally writing it in the comments...

I love watching raptors eat. Their behavior is so fascinating.
