@olynxmano True, I was just trying to roughly approximate computational power of A8 vs. C64, not what would be needed to emulate Yoomp! on C64. :-) Since there is lot of 1.79/0.98 confusion in that matter. :-)

@bragee : Maybe I'm blind but how did you come to such conclusion? What I see is Piquet being in front and totally at the left edge of the track when Mansell hits him. What he was supposed to do, go on grass?

@zombiemod : More capable in what? Ability to display sprites or high resolution in color? No doubt it was. @IAssemble : Probably not, dunno how complicated those algorithms are, I never tried to code one. :-) My point merely was that CPU and software is imho the last thing to admire on this machine. :-)

@frontenbrecher : Except for about 70% less computing power of C64 (at this resolution) what would be a clear deal-breaker. ;-)

This the finest example why Bethesda is a joke compared to Bioware. Open world is nice but their stories/possibilities, immersion by it is simply laughable. Or perhaps... not even that. :/

@TheInformalstyle: It's absolutely working the very same way on a real machine, trust me I own one. :-)

One thing where it was truly lacking was its pure computational power being 25%-80% behind Atari depending on resolution. I hated she (I guess) comitted suicide making them only believe they defeated her (after all she was strong enough to beat the white lord himself and there is a hint for it in her own words). She should become the next white wizard as was her right.
