I got the black one today and it's very good. It feels durable, looks very sleek, all the ports are easily accessible, the volume rocker & power buttons can be pressed w/o problems. I just hope the silicon rubber doesn't separate from the hard casing over time. Still, no issues so far.

I babied my Note since day one & today I noticed a barely-noticeable-fingernail-impossible-to-catch scratch. Thank God it's in one of the soft keys and not in the screen. So, yeah it's just you. Gorilla glass or not, the display is scratch-resistant & not scratch-proof ; )

I'm watching this on my Galaxy Note and it's awesome!

seriously, i don't get why they make earphone plugs 'L-shaped' when a lot of devices nowadays have them jacks at the top. it'll get in the way and will be flimsy IMO
