Nice one Sir Terry - Cosmos ought to be a must-watch for young and old.
I'll give him a nod to the concept of consciousness as a way for the Universe to understand itself and he nicely expands on Feynman's idea of beauty and awe

5.1 had styles, supported extra fonts, allowed objects to be embedded (like equations, or charts: that could be edited), and so on. No talking paperclips, but aside from that I can't think of a feature it lacked in everyday use. I'd be intrigued to hear otherwise.

The claim is that the LED produces a higher intensity (W m^-2) than the candle.
"light many times the intensity of the candle"
This is probably true within the beam of the LED - indeed, one could drive a laser diode and have an intensity many orders of magnitude higher than that of th...

Marvellous - thank you tsukasaoishi.
I was at ISAS for a few months in 1997 - and the open days were a real delight.
Hordes of visitors of all ages - this was when Lunar-A was still going strong.
Great days.
Best wishes for the rail gun's future - presumably as a launch system.
