Joy lives in Norwich and having been in and around various bands/projects for a few years decided to go it alone, making the music she wanted to make in her own way. What emerged was a contradictory mix of folk influenced, electro-pop with a selection of impossible-to-ignore beats driving it all along. Lyrically its all rather dark (sometimes nonsensical)and tells of ladies kidnapping lovers to hide in boxes('Coqcinelle') or in the song 'Lupine man' another falls in love with a wolf!. Somewhat technically inept by her own admission, she maintains that being a bit restricted has presented her with a rather unique sound. Judge for yourself...
