I am fortunate enough to be asked to speak all over the world, and when I speak in America I'm often asked to explain what Al Jazeera is and what it isn't.
Well, as my parents always say, the proof is in the pudding. The challenge is most Americans can't see the pudding as Al Jazeera English has found little distribution in America.
National cable and satellite providers have yet to include Al Jazeera English because they believe Americans don't care enough about international news for it to be profitable. But why wait for these corporations' bottom lines to justify the news you receive?
The Internet gives the power back to the people. This channel is dedicated to hosting all of my reports. People no longer have to take me on my word about what I report on. Anyone can see any report, any time.

It must be hard to cover and document a story like this and walk away and understand that any change for these people is way off. It is stories like this that need to be told and hopefully someone that can illicit change will stand up. Great show Josh.

As Americans are dealing with what they feel are the most pressing issue: unemployment, social services, and the sate of the affairs for the shrinking middle class, Fault Lines does brilliantly, standing right along side the people and connecting their concerns with harsh, big-picture information. However, to come to your page and find the segments of On War, I'm reminded of just how little Americans really understand the bigger picture. Nonetheless, I'm very grateful for the great turning you've had in your life, in which we, the audience, now benefit...from a unique and complex perspective that ultimately rings humanistic and compassion.

I am a former Marine ('86-90) and spent time in Iwakuni, Japan. There I was exposed to life and culture outside of mainstream America. Went on to get my degree and have been attached to international education since then. I remember seeing you on the TV when you were a military spokesman for the Corps. I was impressed by your sincere presentation, and honestly stunned, but impressed that you left the Corps to join Al-Jazeera. I knew then that that had to be more to Al Jazeera than what we had been led to believe. I just read recently that Al Jazeera isn't provided, not so much because Americans don't care about int'l news, but rather cable providers fear sponsor backlash if it is provided. Keep up the good work my independant-minded brother, and Semper Fi.

Josh Rushing... I found out about you first through CONTROL ROOM documentary. I'm studying Communication Management, and one of my courses - Advanced Reporting, had me watch this documentary for my final exam. You're amazing. And it amazes me that you turned from a military to appear on Al Jazeera. : )

I never got a chance to say years ago when I heard the news, but I was incredibly moved by your story in Control Room and later moving on to working with Al Jazeera. It was an incredible story and I'll be following you now that I know you are on Youtube.

Divide and rule. This is what the Western countries do to under a big lie of helping. It is the same story - fighting 'terrorism' by bombing and killing civilians and afterwards they divide the civilians into gfroup to start a civilian war. Im sick of it. muslims forgot they are Muslims, it's now all about nationalism.

Well done, Josh. The elderly in prisons needs to be brought to our attention. But as one of your interviewees said, the system is run by politics. And making humane and sensible changes in the prison system is not what gets them elected.
