I'm not sure what you mean about reggae lyrics being difficult to understand. I'd say it seems like there's room for individual interpretation in his lyrics. All the imagery and metaphors like in Fire of Heaven/Altar of Earth, the core concepts in songs like Youth and One Day, etc....
