Joseph Clark was brought to South Africa from the US to guest as a Principal Dancer with the PACT Ballet Co. He won immediate acclaim for the leading roles in the ballets Swan Lake, Papillion, Romeo & Juliet and Witchboy. Highlights in musical theatre since then include leading roles in The Buddy Holly Story, West Side Story, The Fantasticks (opposite pop star Jason Donovan), Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph And His Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and QUEEN At The Opera. In 2000 he was nominated as best actor in a comedy for his role in the one-man-play The Male Intellect an oxymoron? From 1994 Joseph started becoming a regular soloist with the popular Joburg Pops concerts and has since sung with all the major symphony orchestras of South Africa. He also sang for Nelson Mandela at his 85 Birthday Celebration at the Sandton Convention Centre. In 2004 he toured Italy and Germany performing the music of QUEEN. Since then he has been touring South Africa with this show as well as with the shows Vivere, Joseph Clark - Unplugged and African Crossing, which was staged in Hamburg in 2008. His CD's Unplugged Covered, InStream, African Crossing and The Music of QUEEN are currently available at Look AND Listen, his live performances, Rhythm Online, The Orchard and on itunes.
