I've found in life that sometimes the hardest decisions to make, are usually the ones that need to be made the most. They're never easy. They're never without pain. They're never without confusion, and very seldom seem to make sense.

But MY God is greater.
MY God is stronger.
MY God is higher than any other.
MY God is healer
Awesome in POWER...
That's MY GOD.

Even though we seem to have things figured out and that we're in control, sometimes God decides to test us -- to better us -- for us to better trust Him.

I'm reminded of the story of Abraham -- how God asked him to kill his only son, Isaac. Yeah -- that's what I thought. Why would a God who loves us so much, ask a man clearly following Him to sacrifice his only son? The same son, I will add, that God gave Sarah and him well after both Abraham and Sarah should be physically capable (Abraham was 100 and Sarah was to be beyond childbearing). But regardless, Abraham trusted God, and just before Abraham struck Isaac, God said, "Stop".

Abraham knew that what God gives, God can take away. But also that which God commanded, was much more important than anything God could take away.

I mess up, but God's love forgives me and washes me clean. I don't always make the right choices, but I am convinced that nothing can separate me from the love of God (Romans 8).

I'm a senior at East Texas Baptist University. I'm following God. The rest is just minor details to a story that God is writing in my life.
