Ropeswing Accident

This is a short story about how, on days you least expect it, miracles CAN happen.
In the summer of 2006, after constructing several ropeswings of varying thrill levels, we finally developed this masterpiece over the seething torrent of the River Dart.
It was a case of throwing yourself into the abyss and hoping that the laws of gravity stood steady and the rope didn't break.
Oli guinea pigged this swing like a mutha. Yes he did.
In order to document such a momentous occasion I stepped up as chief camera(phone) operator.
However, due to the unpredictable nature of ropeswinging the rope followed it's own destiny on landing and that destiny was to remove the filming device from my grasp and lay it into it's own bed. The river bed.
EPILOGUE
To this day the phone still works having provided continuous text message and phone calls to upwards of one person.
