Trent Reznor wrote a great song, but, in my opinion, he could not capture the emotion and embrace the pain the way Johhny did. Johny had a way of making songs more applicable to the listener, more real. He brought it home and made you feel the hurt.

I don't know if anyone is aware that this song was written by Jamey Johnson, and there is a video on youtube of him telling the story of how he came up with the song. An Traces version isn't exactly what he had in mind when he wrote the song.
