Ex-Air Force 462X0 Weapons System Specialist and Desert Storm Veteran Aug 22 '90- Mar 18 '91. King Fahd AB Taif, Saudi Arabia, Hafr Al Batin, and Riyahd.
Stationed at Cannon AFB with the 27th TFW, 524th TFTS- Yellow
Stationed at RAF Lakenheath with the 48th FW, 494FS- Red
Load Standardization Crew member for the 48 AGS (Load Barn) as a Weapons Load Training Evaluator/ Instructor at RAF Lakenheath from '89 to 1991.
I worked and loaded on F-111D and F models in Cannon AFB, NM, and R.A.F. Lakenheath, UK.
Weapons Loaded: GBU-10, 12, 24A/B, 28,and 15 TV/IR, CBU-87 and 89, MK-82, and 84 of all configs and variations, Mk-20, BDU-33 and 38, BLU-107/E, AIM-9L, M, missles, B-61, and B-57 Tactical Nuclear, but of course, not during the war.
My crew and I loaded 881 weapons in a month and a half during the war. That's 352, 500 lbs, and I loved every last one of them.
I fully support our troops overseas, no matter what coalition nation they are. Especially my breatheren Air Force bomb loaders! Get Some!
