Dear Jonas Brothers Haters,
I respect the fact that you don't like them, and I'm not going to tell you omg they rock. You are stupid for not loving them because thats not right to force my musical taste on you.
BUT
I'm sick and tired of people saying they hate the Jonas Brothers and everything they stand for. Wait a second, what exactly do they stand for: Fun, catchy music, and morals! Correct me if I'm wrong but since when is any of that bad? Everyone likes to have fun, listen to music they like and each human being has their own moral values. Just because someone's are different doesn't give you the right to hate on them. Respect them. If it ends up being wrong then fine, its their life not yours. And last I checked the Jonas Brothers aren't trying to make you get a Promise Ring.
And as far as covers and youtube videos go no one is making you watch them, and if you don't like it then a) don't comment or hit that magical little x at the top of your browser. Saying that they defiled a classic doesn't do any good, its not like it stops the cover from existing.
Haters also need to stop wishing bad upon them. Saying that you want to blow up their bus? That Nick dies from complications to do with his diabetes? That is wrong on so many levels. Just because you don't like their morals, music, or whatever it is that you don't like does not give you the right to wish that they die. They are people, just like you. You also need to stop wishing harm on the fans. Just because we don't think the same as you we should die? Again, that is very very wrong.
They are good at what they do, providing fun music that a lot of people like. Just because its not your personal taste doesn't make it crap. And your opinion isn't the end all and be all of music. They sell a lot of records, sell out shows and have screaming teenage girls in love with them. Doesn't sound too different from all the other really popular music acts from over the years.
And those of you who hate because they are signed on Hollywood Records which is owned by Disney. Here's something which you probably did not know- Nick, the youngest, the diabetic, had a solo career before they formed the Jonas Brothers. And as a group they were signed to Columbia, in 2005. They released one record with them, and they had the second tracked when Columbia dropped them. The music industry is harsh, I get that, but Disney saw an opportunity to make money and the Jonas boys saw a way to keep living their dream, since when is that any different then any other artist being picked up by another label after being dropped? It isn't. And remember the song Hey there Delilah by the Plain White T's? Yeah that huge hit was made by a band thats signed on Hollywood Records. Hating a band because of their label is like hating someone because of their skin color.
The bottom line is that the Jonas Brothers are not personally hurting you. They are three boys living out their dreams. If you hate them, and want them to die for that, then you really do need to get a life.
