I worked in the Emergency Dept. as well when I was studying to be a Nurse. Unfortunately, I ruptured a disc in my low back and after a couple surgeries, it pretty much was a career ender for me. I did go on to do Phlebotomy, but it's just not the same as I'm sure you can guess. I remember the adrenal though on a hectic night in ED, I do miss it. I also volunteer a lot with animals animals who have medical special needs.
