correction: i should have said that the sulphurs eat the roof (not the yellow tailed black cockies. they are not that common ).

I'm actually interested in doing similar stuff down the track. it's a thought of mine to set up cages and rehab. injured parrots etc then let them go.

just curious, do corellas chew roof wood much? i get sulphur cockies and they are wrecking our roof corners. it's became an issue.

nice stuff, but over here in australia, we get bigger birds. cockys, lorikeets, crested pigeons and so forth. lots of those hanging feeders that sell have tiny perches. no idea how a cocky would get a peanut out of that mesh.

that was bad..but nature at work...i attract native pigeons here in Aus., and when they feed in my garden, i often hear them make their alert sounds and look up. i then find a raptor somewhere above. they are always on the look out for their destroyer.

nice.... I wish they made freeders and poles for australian birds. we get bigger parrots and those little dowl tube feeders just wouldn't do. can't imagine a cockatoo or galah or lorikeet being comftorable. i'm might make my own
