"I love music. I love playing music on the Hammond B3 Organ as well as piano and synth but especially on the B3 Hammond with at LEAST one Leslie Tone Cabinet Speaker. It's said the only thing that sounds better than a Hammond B3 Organ with ONE Leslie Tone cabinet is a Hammond B3 Organ with TWO or more Leslie tone cabinets. Hahaha!
My choice of instruments? Well I don't know whether I chose the Hammond B or it chose me. I enjoy playing the 25 bass foot pedals on the Hammond B. I love playing piano as well as synth. Synth is my chance to stand up and play. Folks like to hear me sing. So I give it a try. When I play synth, I can stand up as well as sit down and sing and play. On organ and piano, I have to sit down.
I've written and recorded some of my original songs through the years. Studio and live -- "John T. Davis Last of the Blues" and "John T. Davis Trio live at Joe Mama's". And since Jim Heineman and I were the founders of live Jazz at the REX from '89 to '91 ... I couldn't resist a "1st Edition April '89 to March'91 John T. Davis - Jim Heineman Live @ The REX" CD.
