Judy Garland Off Broadway Judy and Me Producer

The cast of "Judy and Me" performed in front of a packed, supportive audience and also received a standing ovation the evening of October 19th at Off-Broadway's most popular theatre, St. Luke's.

Dealing with such issues as homophobia, domestic abuse and suicide, while also including the positive impact Judy Garland has had on playwright Peter Mac, which influence is reflected in the main character, Anthony "Tony" Castellano (played by Christopher Brick), "Judy and Me" entertained its audience with a roller coaster of emotion. From moments of utter sadness to moments of laughter and cheer, audience members delved into the life of Tony who dealt with coming out as a young gay man and the subsequent abuse, both physical and verbal, from his high school peers. An inside view to his daily home life showed an abusive father and yet a very supportive mother who was quick to act when her husband didn't.
