MFFL 09 week 2: WARRIORS 8 - TRIDENTS 20
WARRIORS 8 - TRIDENTS 20
Oh my God !!! #1 rank team in the nation, KL Warriors were humbled by this season's sensation; the Subang Tridents. Not rattled by the media hype coming off their season opening win over Damansara Dawgs last week, the Tridents showed why teams should take them more seriously. Though nobody wants to take it seriously any team with a QB standing at approx. 4 feet tall (or something like that), this Tridents Offense is something different. Its special. Its smart. Its well trained. And did I mention its being led by a 15-year old football player thats approx. 4 feet tall? And dont even let us get started on their Defensive corp: Tenacious, athletically arrogant, robustly agile. Perfect recipe for Defensive superiority. Warriors' failure to get a score on four consecutive offensive drives says it all. Credit however should be given to the Warriors as the game was closer than the final scoreline. They came back from 12-0 down by half-time. With the score at 12-8 Tridents up in the 2nd half, and in what was the last play of the game, Warriors' Mr. Lazy Eyes QB Haadi threw an INT in the end-zone that was ran all the way to the other side for a TD by Tridents Defense. The game ended at 20-8. The proud Subang Tridents had just toppled a giant, and they temporarily sit on top, at the tip of the iceberg. Be careful, it can be cold, lonely and slippery up there... ;)
Game ball goes to: The Subang Tridents Defensive Backs for making Warriors QB Haadi appear like he just lost his eye-balls on the field and couldn't complete his throws =).
