Missionary Johnny Rice :)

My first Missions trip was in 2003-2005 living in W. Africa at a United Nations Refugee Camp for Liberians in Ghana following the Liberian Civil War; then moved to Liberia; and finally was a Bible student at Prophet TB Joshua's church, The Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria. My trip began teaching me how to teach, preach, lead praise & worship and prayer meetings for Ministry. But also, was very important for character building & learning that all the American comforts are not necessary for life & so many other things. Lived in W. Africa for 2.2 years, finally returning in June 2005.

In June, 2006, I moved to Los Angeles & joined The Dream Center Pastored by Tommy & Matthew Barnett , as a volunteer intern. I worked in their Cafeteria Kitchen & got involved leading worship & ...preaching in their Food Chapel. Also served food to the Homeless who lived Downtown LA & shared the Gospel with Pastor Clayton & Evg. Keenan with the Hope for The Homeless Youth Ministry on Sunset Blvd. & Santa Monica Beach.

Also, was hired at TBN, Tustin office as a telephone prayer partner, commuting from The Dream Center, LA to Tustin. Eventually, was hired fulltime for TBN & moved from Dream Center to Irvine, although remained a DC church member, attending Sunday & Thursday services. Learned alot as a TBN telephone prayer partner, praying with people from all over America & sometimes callers from oversees. So many times, it seemed, that TBN prayerline was their only source for prayer & often they were very sad & in desperate situations. TBN was sometimes like a church to many elderly & the only Christian fellowship & inspiration for others. People from all walks of life would call; even homeless in shelters.

Eventually moved to Compton where I worked with Evangelist Calvin Lowe, who is a African-American ghetto street preacher. He introduced me to various churches in South Central LA & opened up many doors for me to Lead Worship & Preach-Teach. Began leading Prayer & Praise & Worship Services at Miracle Faith Temple Pastored by Dorothy Davis. This was my best most enjoyable ministry experience for in the services I led, we just Praised & Worshipped & Prayed the whole service & allowed the Holy Spirit to fill us with His Glory!! Pastor Dorothy really loved me and desired for me to Co-Pastor with her, but God was calling me back to Orlando.

Also, worked fulltime at Irvine BMW as a Liceansed Security Guard.

God sent me back to Orlando to renew Ministry friendships with many Pastors.
