Hello all. I'm happy to report that my band, The John Kelly Band is really kickin' some butt. We've been playing quite a bit in the St. Petersburg area and have sold a ton of CDs. It seems folks are picking up on (whatever it is that I've been trying to say in these songs). I truly thank you all for taking an interest in the band and my music. All kidding aside I think the simpleness of it all is maybe refreshing in some way. I've never been happier with a project than I am with this band. Everyone just keeps it simple and lays it right in there. And, I can truly call them all dear friends.
My CD Forgiven is still for sale and I'm looking forward to recording the band here at the HIDEAWAY in the coming months. I'm very excited about that. A real.... band, raw type of experience... its been a while.
The band has also been asked to play several parties in the area. We're very excited about that. Most of them are private but we're trying to get affiliated with more outdoor festival-type events, so keep a look out.
Finally, I just want to say thank you to my Band for coming around at a time I thought I might be done pushing this thing. I mean, I know I'll always write and record and play out some, but these guys deserve a lot of credit for bringing back some much needed inspiration to my drive. So, thank you guys.
