"Paving the way as a guitarist who's inspiring many." John Francis is an American guitarist and composer. He is best known for his use of extended-range classical guitars and his eclectic compositional style. As a composer and arranger for over thirty years, John has written and arranged music in styles ranging from Baroque to Blues, from Celtic to Rock, from Jazz to eclectic World Music. His primary emphasis has been the guitar in all its varieties including multi-stringed instruments. He is often seen with an eleven-string classical alto-guitar (Altgitarr) invented and made by Georg Bolin of Sweden as well as a ten-string classical guitar. As an official artist for Spanish guitar maker Antonio Aparicio, Francis is working on several projects, involving multistring and other special, instruments. He currently performs on an Aparicio "Especial" six, seven and eight string instruments, as well as a Lakewood M32 CP Grand Concert Steel Six String from Germany.
