A place to share and learn about mind training and making the most of your educational experience.
About Me:

This is my official intro. My name is John Morrison, I love to learn. I also love to teach. It all started way back in the 70's. I learned some martial arts techniques from a cousin and I was hooked. I started to learn and learn and explore ways to learn more and more about martial arts and other physical forms of expression. As I grew older I started to focus on the mind and the training thereof. I learn several useful skills from the great Harry Lorayne. His techniques were fun and easy to learn. As a matter of fact, the first person I ever met who was able to do a memory stunt was my father. He asked me to call out ten items, and was able to recall them in any order. But he did not show how he did it! As I look back, I am thankful he did not show me the secret. Like most people, once the trick is revealed the magic is gone.

But I thought to myself "what a great skill, if only I was able to do that". Many years later I was able to do that feat and more. Over the years I have included math tricks and the mental calendar to my list of skills. I wish I had learned and was able to use these skills in High School. I was able to use the skills I learned in college. One of my favorite techniques is the Mind Mapping system of Tony Buzan. He is a big part of my success in mind training and memory. Kevin Trudeau was the biggest influence of all. I met him at a training workshop in September of 1990. I have a certificate from his company, The American Memory Institute. He is infamous for all his hi-jinks on television, but he remains a hero to me, thanks to his "Mega Memory" course.

My one major goal is to share what I know with the world, or at least anyone who is serious about learning. One thing I can say about learning memory techniques and math skills: they set you apart from the crowd. I feel that we, who have the knowledge, need to teach those who are in need. It is not about doing stunts to impress someone, it is about changing lives.

Hi John, Thank you so much for your videos and may I say how reasonable and intelligent you are. You're a model human being imho and I hope to see more people like you. I like most you're ability to follow through problems which we all encounter and logically solve them, you don't have to bother doing it but you just do and it helps me tremendously, it takes patience to do that and I admire you for it.
