I now know Helene made many more records. Btw the Deep City issue credits Helene Smith with the Rocketeers. A copy is currently (3rd July 2011) for sale on ebay at $30.

Nice one, but it pales in comparison with the version by Bobby Freeman & the Romancers. It's on the Collectables CD Spotlite on Josie Records Vol. 4. There was also an inferior version on Baytone about 1958. Finally Freeman did a solo of the song on King around 1960. Perhaps phunkyjunction could ...
