Hi Friends,
Check out my new Chrissie Hynde video! This is for her and JP Jones's song "Your Fairground". The song, to me, spoke about death and the promise of love in the afterlife. Chrissie herself said in an interview that Fairgrounds (or amusement parks to us in the States) represent freedom. So I took that one step further: what about freedom from death and nothingness?

Here's the official shiny "bio":J.D. Cerna is a GLAAD-Media Award Nominated Writer and Performer. His first one-man play, The Flight of the Goddamned Butterfly, premiered in New York City and ran for seven months in an Off-Off-Broadway venue, 55 Grove Street. The play received a workshop and performance invitation from the highly acclaimed New York Theater Workshop. About Butterfly, the New York Daily News wrote, "Cerna writes with a wonderful sense of humor and humanity," and "the play will lift your heart."
Cernas second one-man play, Not as Cute as Picture, was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the category of Outstanding Theater: Washington D.C. About Not as Cute, the Washington Post wrote, "...a candid, sometimes stinging and usually very funny journey of a gay man."
As an actor, Cerna has appeared as a lead opposite Mary Beth Hurt in the award-winning short, Alkali, Iowa, which was featured in the Boys Life gay film series. He also appeared as twin brothers in Miramaxs Lie Down With Dogs. Onstage, Cerna played Stanley Tuccis lover in Jim Falls (Trick) Eighty-Eights, Cerna has also appeared in television commercials and soap operas, and if youd like to see him get hacked to bits and come back to life as a zombie, check out Tromas Dead Dudes In The House in which Cerna plays Steve.
Cerna writes a regular column for four separate Windows Media publications: The Washington Blade, The New York Blade, The Houston Voice and the Southern Voice. His columns relay his thoughts and feelings on subjects as varied as AIDS, love, mothers, porn, aging, television, suicide, narcissism, sex, addiction, loneliness, fathers
