@sct353 I also just discovered this about a month ago after buying a pile of Conniff LPs at Goodwill. To me this is one of the best songs he's ever recorded, which he also happened to write. It's a shame he didn't do more writing. I'm liking it more and more all the time. Anyway, surely there are...

Bert Kaempfert - Lady
Bert Kaempfert wrote more than 400 original compositions, and, if you ask me, I think all of them had "hit potential". So it's no surprise that an...
I love this song. It's got to be the best slow dance song ever recorded. I also love Anita Kerr's and the Living Strings version. The Living Strings may be better. It's done without vocal harmonies and instead has some of the most beautiful strings I've ever heard. Makes me sad that beautiful mus...

This song is so beautiful. There are at least 4 distinctly different versions of this song performed by Goya. The first one being from 1976 which was a major worldwide hit for Goya but this is not that version.. Does anyone know when this song was recorded originally? What is the year of the CD t...

THE CARPENTERS Beechwood 4-5789 SHOW EXPRESS
The Carpenters performing "Beechwood 4-5789" in Germany (1981).
I have a few things to say here. It is truly sad to see Karen this emaciated, she is clearly very ill. Anorexia is such a sad illness and what a waste for Karen Carpenter to get it. Second people are making a mountain out of a molehill on the poking issue, I don't think Julio even made contact w...

One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Why this was bypassed as a single is a huge mystery to me.

Very touching song and video. IMO this is the best Bread/Gates song ever. I love the image of the hands raised to the stacked hearts in the sky. On Sept 17 of last year I saw and photographed stacked heart clouds in a formation pretty much just like that. I'm touched.

Sounds ok to me. What I could hear on the film sounds much better and actually sounds to me like it may have been one of the better songs on the album. Floyd NEEDS to put this on a collection CD badly. Not this version, the original version obviously. Surely it's better than 99% of modern rock mu...

Excellent selections. I love many instrumentals and many pop/rock songs, but this is the only case for me where both versions of a song rate very high amongst my favorite songs.

This is definitely upbeat for James Last. One of the most intense orchestral instrumentals I have ever heard is kamarinskaja by him. Unfortunately no one has uploaded this masterpiece to Youtube. It starts off slow then just explodes half way through.

Moody Blues - Gimme A Little Somethin'
A rare studio track from 1968, released on the '77 album, "Caught Live + 5," and the '87 cd, "Prelude."
I love this song. To me it's the Moody Blues best, and maybe the best rock song I have ever heard. There is incredible truth here- "my life is founded on the thoughts that we two are just one". John Lodge's falsetto back up vocals touch the soul.

The Moody Blues: Balance
One of my favorite Moody Blues songs, "Balance", off of their "Question of Balance" album. There is a visual journey to go along with the song.
Absolutely beautiful song and without question the most meaningful song I have ever heard. Extremely profound and deep. "He saw his enemies like unto himself, And he learned love."
