I think the soundtrack album actually sold better than the film did in theaters... I remember buying it. Great stuff from ONJ and ELO. Both were at the very height of their careers.

Jeff did this on purpose as there were a lot of these being done in the late 60's (thanks to the Beatles) and the 70's. However, it's just backwards masking, not subliminal at all.

In the 1970's, this was a form of Progresive rock...it was a TOP SELLER in it's day. Not cheese at all. They did, like most Prog Rock bands of the era, decline as time progressed into the 1980's.

This is a great Album. HIGHLY underated classic from the early 70's!

Specs do not always sound good though. The SHURE is so rolled off on the high end when playing more demanding music. Back in the 70's, SHURE was the kind...but only because their V15 tracked at 1 gram. We have since learned that 1 gram of tracking force is not really a good thing...The AT also...
