Apparently you just pop up unexpectedly on the internet. I was looking for a video and then saw something about Joe Shines. I once heard the tale of Joe Shines when I was in Westwood after a killer gamelan sesh. I hope that place up North with the mooses is treating you well. Hey Joe! Thanks for putting up all the great gamelan videos. I play with Gong Gita Asmara in Vancouver, BC, and I recognized Dewa Berata and Komin Darta, and Nyoman Danu's house where I stayed on my honeymoon. You probably know Pete Steele who is playing with us now. Anyway, it's good to see some gamelan on the internet. Do you study with Jeff Purmort and Pak Wenten? Give them my best if you see them.
