I am running for the senate because I believe North Dakota needs to have a dynamic debate on the direction of our state. We must not give up on our rural areas and instead find ways to encourage families to grow and remain in our state.
The North Dakota economy is on the move and our government need not stand in its way. The agriculture and the energy sectors are breathing new life into our state, we must work to ensure that continues.
Protection of property rights and fairness to our consumers is a priority of mine. I believe that property tax relief is essential component in giving home and land owners an added step in community development and the promise of ownership.
Education can not proceed as business as usual. We must find ways to give our students a greater edge in the world and at the same time keep spending in line with the ablity of taxpayers to pay. I believe better hands-on, technical education in our high schools will create work force that is ready day one and trained for work in North Dakota. Giving hope to North Dakota's youth is important so that they may continue the pioneering spirit of our fore fathers and build a long-lasting diverse economy.
