Great video Jay, I thought the multiple camera views during the startup sequence were especially interesting to watch. Too bad you couldn't loop around some of the heated exhaust for your comfort control, but I'm sure you are quite used to the cold temperatures by now.

Is reason for the coupling nut being hollow, to allow hot gasses to pass from the back of the engine to the front for de-icing?
If so, where are the hot gasses redirected from?

Turbine engines are the best. Have you ever heard about how the US and Russia made nuclear turbines? I just watched a documentary on that here on the web, Crazy stuff.

I did a slow motion play of this video and it appears the eagle almost got Avig. The snow pushed out behind the Eagle is snow being ejected by the right claw after the missed strike. Please be carefull Mr. Avig you would be missed by all who love these fun and funny videos.

That looked more like a failed front right claw attack to the head of Avig. Followed by a right wing slap to the head. Glad to see Avig is still with us.
