Nice video but Porsche has never had a floating axle; a swing axle was used. According to a BSME from Georgia Tech, a swing axle is designed to break loose. A trailing arm front suspension is designed to break loose. But because of the short wheelbase - 82.7 inches in a 356 - they don't.
