Cosmic Gate re-team with one of dance music's hottest vocal properties for the first major single to be taken from their forthcoming artist album 'Wake Your Mind'.
(Released On Black Hole Recordings 17th October 2011) The album's teaser precursor 'The Theme' -- Nic & Bossi's cover of Jurgen Vries' global millennium dance smash -- has had DJs of several EDM denominations spinning its praises throughout the summer. Now, setting a major sound precedent for their fifth studio long-player, 'Wake Your Mind', Cosmic Gate scale new career heights with the mighty 'Be Your Sound'. Having previously collaborated on 'Not Enough Time' (which was nominated in the Best Trance Track category at the 2010 IDMAs), the release once again features the transcendent, transfixing vocals of Australian voxstress Emma Hewitt. Cosmic Gate's Extended Mix fires Emma's compelling, powerful lyrics floor-bound with a smouldering, brooding production, which builds break-side inexorably into a captivating melodic/euphoric trance inferno.

Black Hole 383-0 BT featuring Kirsty Hawkshaw - A Million Stars 1. Original 2. Marc Simz Remix 3. Save The Robot Remix 4. Myon & Shane 54 Summer Of Love Mix 5. Myon & Shane 54 Summer Of Love Intro Mix 6. Jason van Wyk Remix 7. Sultan & Ned Shepard Remix 8. Airwave Remix 9. Digital Stories Remix
BT and Kirsty Hawkshaw teamed up for "A Million Stars", released on the Black Hole imprint.
The ones that have followed BT's album releases "These Hopeful Machines" and "These Re-Imagined Machines" have been familiar with "A Million Stars" for quite some time now. The fragile, partially acoustic original version is a beauty to listen to in the intimacy of your own house, the bedroom, your car or on your iPod. The electronic elements already made it clear that there was some serious dance floor potential in it and now this remix package confirms it with a bang.
With a total of eight absolutely outstanding versions, it is best for every serious DJ to check them all out, one by one, all the way from intro to outro. Marc Simz, Save The Robot, Myon & Shane 54, Sultan & Ned Shepard, Airwave and Digital Stories; they all spent many, many hours on end to give this fabulous BT original a state of the art work over. Make sure to grab the versions that fit best in your personal playlist when you're behind the decks. Your audience will feel as if they're dancing under the warm night sky, filled with "A Million Stars"!

The footage used is from a movie called 'Sand Pebbles' with Steve McQueen. The photographs are from Shorpy.com -an extensive internet archive of vintage glass negatives. Various artwork used I have collected overtime. The audio recording was a free sample from a company called Pzizz, they have a iPhone app now.
