Very informative, thanks for posting. Question from a rookie: At what point (what are the factors) do you switch from using a router bit to a dado blade? I've made some good dado-type cuts (even in plywood sheet) using a small router setup.

@Crystal -- sorry, while the Coriolis effect is real, in small systems the force is so small it does not affect the rotation. Your sink may spin in the direction it's "supposed" to flow according to coriolis, but that's only because of the physical form of your sink and the current fluid dynamic...

Another great explanation. OK, for us 'rookies' can that bottom plate be considered the sill plate? And since you're talking about an outside door, would you end up trimming both base plates, or just the top one (thus allowing your flooring materials to come up to meet the top level of the lowe...

Might be a great idea to do a vid on a whole-house water heating system using this technology. It's so common in Europe; I'm not sure why it's not being adopted more quickly in North America.

Isn't this similar to "Liquid Nails"? Although I think LN applies as dark brown.

You can use this same principle to design a consistent pattern of vector rectangles that can be made into cut-vinyl graphics. The rectangles all peel off of the same sheet so you can get near perfect alignment. Make sure you ask your local sign shop what kind of data file they need.

I'm guessing there might be rterofit lighting kits for downlighting interior stairs? We have a very nice staircase but it's so dark you can't walk it at night without a room light on somewhere.
