On the hand drum issue: yes wrist movements are used in all manner of instrument playing, i myself am a drummer and am fully aware of the use of my wrists... however in this particular video it would appear that the player is actually slapping their wrists against the cajon, as apposed to slapping their hand against the surface, using their wrists to bring about this movement. Therefore my point still stands that possible wrist damage could arrise as this part of the wrist has no form of cushioning like that found on your hand or sole of your foot.
