Haha I guess I grew up being old fashioned because my parents were already of age at that time and we had to watch and listen to their kind of movies and music even if we didn't like it.  We had no say in it. We were only too glad they could afford a tv AND a record player at that time. And as all kids back then I too didn't appreciate their choice of music or movies at first but the older I got the more I did. Ask kids today who Danny Kaye or Harold Loyd were and they haven't the slightest clue. They were my two favorite comedians. Many of my colleagues at work today don't even know who Steve McQueen is! I mean, come on! Furniture too was soo sturdy back then that I stil am using the antique oak Bruegel buffet my parents owned in those days. It must be over 50 yrs old.. Teevees never broke down, nor did radios or a fridge. Everything lasted forever seems like. And the food, oh my, was just ten times more tastier back then. Gosh I miss that !

At night, last round out before bed, Marty will comb the entire perimeter of the yard 2-3 times then stand on the porch and look and listen to make sure we are safe, then I say good boy and he will come inside. He is amazing and very protective and absolutely loves people.
