@Bobplawyer Ok, so I tried tuning to open-E, and I even found a tab for "shelter" somewhere in that tuning. It just doesn't sound right to me. You can play the same notes in that tuning, but it sounds crowded and playing all 6 strings just doesn't sound like the recording to me. I could be wro...

Real question is... why WOULD you try to "emulate" Richards' style in standard tuning when open-G tuning is easy, available and far more authentic-sounding. This all seems pretty academic and a waste of time to me. You're a good player, but part of learning your craft is exploring new techniques...
