This is right out of my childhood, I lived on Northlawn off Davison, so I wasn't far from the Makenzie hood. This was back when you could to to Sears on Oakman and Grand River and buy a home movie camera (Sears sold everything) and make your own movies. Love it!

The J.L. Hudson Company built the original shopping malls in Detroit. As a kid in the 70's going to the downtown store was a treat. It was THE store...back in the days of the old boulevard stores (like grand hotels, just for shopping). I always wondered how did the person who raised the flag way...
