I am the video editor of the Campus Chronicle newspaper at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa. DMACC recently bought us professional video equipment to do news stories, so watch the Campus Chronicle YouTube account for updated clips.
I am gaining experience with the newspaper's equipment while I finish my AA degree. After DMACC I am off to film school. My hope is to become a director.

I am a proficient writer in both journalism and creative writing. My current goal is branching into screenplays. I believe creative production of visual media starts with good writing. Our creativity comes from our Creator.

I am experienced in online content management systems. have worked with College Publisher, Joomla, Mambo, PHP BB boards, Nuke, and others. (Joomla is by far my favorite.)

I have developed full websites with video/slideshow capabilities and designed creative marketing strategies for local online advertising. I have produced live productions and videos for various organizations, for which I wrote scripts, acted, directed, designed sets, and shot and edited video.

In 2006 I wrote and presented a proposal to the journalism board of Des Moines Area Community College that brought video news and flash advertising to the student newspaper. DMACC funded my almost $9,000 project. The following year I developed a web hosting solution and new newspaper website enabling flash ad sales.

I have volunteered video talent for several organizations/parties including Ames Christian School (2003-2005), Ames E-free (2006), Haan family- foster parents (2006), DMACC (present), DMACC President Denson (2007), Grace E-free Church (present)

I have also given speeches at several fundraiser banquets, cofounded a web business focused on small businesses in Ankeny, IA, and written several project proposals.

I clean and make messy. I process, I stitch, I couple ideas. Bug spray is meant for fire. Paychecks and clothing are not. I am my own garbage disposal. When given a trampoline, I become an Olympic athlete. My body runs faster than my lungs. At a glance, I appear normal. My fiancé will tell you otherwise. My mind is working when I am not. I am immune to caffeine and deodorant. I have 20/20 vision. I debate theology but cannot understand women. My greatest strength is also my kryptonite. I have never won a spelling bee, but I can spell. I am grammatically correct, locally known, and passionately determined. I have been in hypothetical situations before. My family is a quilt of creativity. I have been chased, shot at, taken prisoner, mauled, and killed, all in the same movie. I have been home schooled to achieve the unachievable. I juggle priorities while building relationships. I am the hide-and-seek master. My mouth works twice as fast as my brain. I balance, I weave, I dodge. I lift heavy bags of dog food. My hair is untamable. God has fearfully and wonderfully created me. I am a superhero."
