I have to say that although the RS mic and mixer sounded good, I actually preferred the D104 audio. Audio is in the ear of the listener. Thanks for the comparison. I liked 'em both for different reasons.

I've used A99s for years. They work very well. Talked all over the planet with them. I now run an Rci-2995dx, rci-2970n2 and an FT-1000mp into one w/gpk up only 26' to the base and I smoke everyone within ten miles of me. Might be cheap junk but they do their job.

Nice rig. Just bought one, myself! I think the trucker was an asshole. I never understood the whole, "I'm-too-cool-to-talk" mentality. Go play "Joe Cool" somewhere else and keep your rude ass off the airwaves.

Just got a 2970N2 from them...with the tune...about a month ago. Radio was new and so far, so good. Maybe I just got lucky. Time will tell, though. But...I ordered my new 2995DX from "Bells CB". Heard MUCH better about them.

Exactly why after 30 years as an Extra Class ham, I'm back on 11 meters. The ham bands are full of these dorkwads. Fat nerds that still live with their parents and pass judgement on everyone else because they got their FCC piece of toilet paper. Ham radio is for dullards. Boring!!!!

This is precisely why I purchased my 2995 from "Bells". A lot to be said for someone that puts their work and their name out there for the world to see. Doesn't leave a lot of room for error. Something you just don't see very much any more.

You got that right!! Poor people buy their radios at Wal-Mart or Radio Shack. Radio ops with extra bucks and a bit of knowledge buy Galaxys and Rangers. I make in excess of $70K per year and I own both. An RCI 2970N2 and a 98VHP. Love 'em both. Congrats on the radio. Smart choice!!
