Aikido is a self defense martial arts. The reason we are not in the UFC is becuz, WE ARE A SELF DEFENSE MARTIAL ARTS. To the confused haters, Aikido is not for show, no competion, strickly self defense. Why is Tai Chi not in the UFC, Hapkido, and other styles of martial arts. Does that mean the other styles are useless. I think not. The haters doesn't know the essence of martial arts. Learn it first, the philosophy, the teachings. Your like saying if I'm not a christian, i'm going to hell, no other religion (Mormons, buddism, Jews, etc) does not work. Only one religion is excepted by god. That's probably the haters religion it's called "dumb ass".
