@DanielSong39 The Bids ' season was arguebly the best season for a older horse in American racing. To the naysayers who think Affirmed and Seattle Slew are better than The Bid, Bid broke eight track records and was 26 for 26 from 6 1/2 to 10 furlongs. Some of those track records still stands and ...

@gotch09 I think it boils down to The Bid being in that super horse category. No other trainers/owners didn't want to run against him. Winters Tale was scheduled to run but was scratched due to an injury. Maybe the eight track records he set over his career on different race tracks had something ...

@SECby31 Neither one of the records you mentioned will never be broken. Secretariat, Spectacular Bid and Dr Fager are the three fastest horses I have ever seen in my life. For any horse to break the sub 2 minute mile and quarter is remarkable anyways.

@Sportsguy574 The Bid ran the only 1.58 mile&qtr.Set 8 track records sprinting and routing. Ended his career with a walkover when no one wanted to face him. His Florida Derby win was checked up on three seperate occasions still won by 4+ lengths. 26 for 26 from 7 to 10 furlongs! Ran lame at the B...
