About this user

hi there, i play the c#d box or single row melodeon. I have played since the age of six. If i like a tune i learn it by ear but on occasions refer to the notation.
For me music is all about people and the craic. Living here in the west I am lucky to have met many musicians from far and near on my musical path and look forward to meeting many more....The word tigin in the title refers to small house , we like to have house sessions here in the kitchen ,keeping the format simple, tunes a and a bit of craic and even the odd dance just as in the older days when the walls of this tigin would vibrate to fiddles and flutes . Mostly these would be occasions of christenings and weddings, but of course also on sadder times. .now its our turn....
