James Lawson is a solo performer from New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada. James' music demonstrates infectious, intriguing sounds, and at times includes slight and proper political preference delivering an interesting blend of wit and beauty.

At a young age James began his acting career with several lead roles in school and community plays/musicals. James home town area of New Hamburg, Ontario watched him perform with local musical groups TCP-The Community Players of New Hamburg and KWMP-Kitchener Waterloo Musical Productions. James also performed music with the band The Dupes for five years playing bass guitar and singing throughout the Ontario club scene. From here James continued his performing career with special talent parts in the film and television business in Toronto Canada before moving to Whistler, British Columbia.

Here James began playing the local pub scene and found himself learning to record and write music at a more competitive level. In 2008 James released his first solo album entitled Our Worlds Heartbeat with his voice drawing the most indefinite attention.

The fall of 2009 will see a second full length album release entitled The Better Far Away in which James teams up with musicians/producers Andrew Zlak and John Wiebe of Tavistock and New Hamburg, Ontario. The album is sure to be welcomed by fans especially with the single Dare to Dream.
