@jnthnbush Without the VU, a lot of modern day bands and sub genres would not exist. Dude. grow up with the IQ stuff. Indie music as we know the goliath today would be an extremely different animal if it weren't for the likes of the VU.

@folkestone1 I'm not that big into the Madchester scene but I do like the Music - The Mondays didnt start the scene, the scene started years ago - they were just part of it, just like the roses who were a band before the mondays. I will never forget this song. My favourite Pink Mountaintops tune. Feels good when the human race can be so creative.

@Pumpkinballz Exactly the same here. I was a Sonic Youth fanatic from late 80s up to late 90s. Kinda lost interest in their path after that. But, I would not be the person I am today without having listened to their albums when I was a kid.

Only good thing about this is the actual drumming by the chick in the corner.

I have only recently started to learn to play the guitar. I am making slow progress, but when I see another human playing like this - this gives me a lot of motivation to keep at it with the hope someday I could be able to play like this.

@yam500 How did you deduce this? If memory serves correctly, Bono jumped down to get closer to the crowd to hug several fans. Before commenting, make sure you know what you are talking about.. Both bands that day were immense - although I am not a fan of either.

@neilus Man Im the same, been searching for years and years via online and in record shops. Only managed to pick up a few 12".

@ABluFuture Of course I have heard of the BJM. My statement still stands. BJM are quite good, but not in the same category as Spacemen 3.
