Ambos operate totally seperate from fire, turned out via there own comcen and paging system. They just share part of the station.

The light bar is from TWL which buys them from Nautech in auckland

Because so far there arnt any others, this is a trial build. Its been trialled in Chirstchurch, Auckland and in Porirua. I believe the trial period has now finished and it is waiting to be stationed somewhere else in the country

It doesnt have the "4" callsign as the boom has no rescue ladder attached, it can only be used as a pump with a water/foam tower or light mast

If he had of directed the foam stream up high at the ceiling it would of prevented the blow back created at 5.02 and again at 5.07. Aiming low forces fresh air into the room which blows alot of the heat and flames down and out the door back onto the crew.

Just food for thought...

We use this system in new zealand, called the inverted bandolier over here though. Seems to work better with our smaller diameter hose. Works great, well for our situations any way
